Young Man Runs Mad in Ondo After Smoking ‘Kolorado’

Chaos erupted in Ondo town, the headquarters of Ondo West Local Government Area in Ondo State when a young man suddenly stripped naked and ran amok after allegedly smoking a substance suspected to be ‘Kolorado.’

The incident took place in the Oke-Ayadi area on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

The victim, popularly known as “Iperu,” was well-known in the community.

According to a state-owned publication, a young boy in the area reported that Iperu appeared perfectly fine earlier that morning and even greeted people.

However, shortly after smoking the substance, he reportedly stripped himself naked.

Eyewitnesses said local youths and his acquaintances took him to an uncompleted building where he regained composure for a short while before being transported away on a motorcycle to an unknown destination.

The incident has raised concerns about the growing use of illicit substances among youths in the area. Residents have called on authorities to intensify efforts in combating drug abuse and providing necessary rehabilitation programs to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
