French Mother Arrested After Newborns Found in Freezer
Police in France have detained a woman in her 50s following the discovery of two deceased infants inside a freezer at a residence in Aillevillers-et-Lyaumont.
The investigation began on Tuesday after a man reported finding one newborn’s body in the freezer; officers subsequently discovered a second infant at the scene.
Authorities quickly identified the children’s mother as the primary suspect. After allegedly fleeing the home, she was located and arrested in Boulogne-Billancourt. Reports indicate she is a mother of nine from two separate relationships.
Jean-Claude Tramesel, the mayor of the small eastern town, expressed the community’s disbelief, noting that the family had lived there quietly for nearly 20 years.
Police are continuing their investigation to establish the exact circumstances behind the deaths.
