Woman Allegedly Robs Lover of N15M in Bitcoin and Phones in Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old woman, Emmanuella Ogochukwu, for allegedly stealing her lover’s phones and bitcoins valued at approximately N15 million.

Confirming the arrest, the command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that Ogochukwu allegedly committed the crime on February 17 in Okota. She was accused of conspiring with her younger brother, 22-year-old Ogbuka Tochukwu, and others who are still at large.

Police recovered three stolen iPhones and N6.5 million from the suspects, which have been registered as exhibits in the case.

“Both of them confessed to the crime. All the complainants robbed phones and N6.5million were recovered and have been registered with the exhibit keeper. Investigation is still ongoing to arrest the other wanted members of the gang. Further development will be communicated,” Hundeyin said.
