Sowore Supports Lagos Corps Member at NYSC Office After Viral Video

Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore on Monday accompanied NYSC corps member Ushie Uguamaye (Raye) to the NYSC Local Government Inspector’s (LGI) office in Eti-Osa, Lagos.

Uguamaye recently went viral on TikTok after posting a video lamenting the rising cost of food and criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Following her post, she alleged that NYSC officials threatened her and summoned her to the LGI’s office in Eti-Osa 3 at 10 a.m. on March 17.

In his post, Sowore Alleges NYSC Official Was Absent from Scheduled Meeting.

“We arrived Eti-Osa LGI offices of the @officialnyscng with youth Corper, Ushie Rita uguamaye in Lagos. She was scheduled to appear before the LGI today and we escorted her to their offices with attorneys,” he wrote.

“@mrfestusogun, @yinka_oyesomi and @justiceojienoh but LGI official had absconded failing to show up throughout our stay.”
