El-Rufai Describes Current Federal Government As Worst In Nigeria’s History
Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir el-Rufai, has sharply criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, labeling it as the “worst and most corrupt” government in Nigeria’s history.
Speaking with journalists in Katsina State on Monday, April 14, el-Rufai also described the current leadership as the most intolerant since Nigeria’s return to democracy in 1999.
“This is the worst federal government in Nigerian history and all the indices have shown it. This is the most corrupt and most intolerant government in Nigeria. This is the most lying government that depends on false propaganda.”
He accused the federal government of misrepresenting the nation’s security realities and failing to address the root causes of widespread insecurity..
“They lied that security has improved in Nigeria. They read out numbers of bandits k!lled except the ones we know are the leading bandits. In Kaduna, Dogo Gide is still around, Mallam Abba, the Boko Haram terrorist, is still alive. Bello Turji is still around but every day, they announce names of people that are bandits’ leaders that they have k!lled and security has improved.”
According to el-Rufai, the ongoing security challenges in various regions reflect the administration’s inability to implement meaningful solutions
