The accident, which occurred early Wednesday on the busy Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, involved a Honda EOd and a trailer, resulting in major traffic disruption. Fortunately, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) responded promptly to manage the situation and ease the congestion.

Preliminary reports indicate that the crash happened near the Kara Bridge axis, a known traffic bottleneck. While the cause of the collision is yet to be officially confirmed, eyewitnesses suggest that reckless driving and poor visibility due to early morning fog may have played a role.

FRSC personnel quickly arrived at the scene to control traffic flow and ensure the safe removal of the affected vehicles. No fatalities have been reported at this time, though an official statement is expected to provide further details.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident occurred when a trailer collided with the Honda EOd, causing the smaller vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a nearby culvert. The impact of the collision left the Honda EOd badly damaged, while the trailer reportedly sustained some damage as well.

Responding swiftly, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel were able to clear the wreckage and divert traffic, which had been significantly disrupted due to the incident. Fortunately, despite the severity of the crash, there have been no confirmed reports of fatalities, though some individuals may have sustained injuries.

Authorities are expected to conduct a full investigation into the cause of the crash, including any potential road safety violations or mechanical failures that could have contributed to the accident.

As of the time of this report, there have been no report of fatalities.
