Authorities in Anambra State have initiated an investigation following the discovery of three children’s bodies at the residence of a traditional healer, widely referred to as Ezenwanyi, in the Ideani community of Idemili North Local Government Area. The grim finding at Umuoduba village has caused significant distress among local residents.
A fourth individual was found alive on the property and was promptly transported to a medical facility for urgent care. The deceased victims, estimated to be between 6 and 15 years of age, have yet to be formally identified. While community members speculated that the children may have been employed by the woman for livestock maintenance or were related to her, the exact nature of their relationship and the cause of death remain unconfirmed.
The suspect has been taken into police custody at the Ogidi Division, while the bodies have been moved to a mortuary. Although official word from the Anambra State Police Command is still pending, social media footage shows law enforcement officers at the scene during the suspect’s arrest.
