Tems’ ‘Love Me Jeje’ Wins Best African Music Performance at the 67th Grammys
Tems’ song “Love Me Jeje” has won her a Grammy in the Best African Music Performance category.
This marks her second Grammy win, following her first award for her contribution to Future’s hit single “Wait For U.”
This year, Tems’ “Love Me Jeje” triumphed over Yemi Alade’s “Tomorrow,” Asake’s “MMS,” Chris Brown’s “Sensational” featuring Davido and Lojay, and Burna Boy’s “Higher.” All the songs nominated in the category were by Nigerian artists.
It’s worth noting that the Best African Music Performance category was only introduced last year, with South African star Tyla winning it with her hit single “Water.”
