Shooting at Boosie Badazz Concert Leaves Two Fans Critically Injured
American rapper Boosie Badazz’s concert in Akron, Ohio, turned chaotic after gunfire erupted, leaving two people critically injured while the artist was on stage.
The incident occurred at the FieldHouse Lounge on Monday, where a fight broke out, prompting an unidentified male suspect to fire multiple shots, striking the victims. According to WKYC, the suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Two men, aged 18 and 36, sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to a local hospital in critical condition, as reported by Cleveland 19 News. Additionally, a 25-year-old man arrived at a nearby emergency room with a graze gunshot injury.
The shooting reportedly took place around 2:00 a.m. local time, and two off-duty officers working as security at the venue called for assistance.
A video shared on X captured the moment gunshots rang out during Boosie Badazz’s performance, with fans filming the rapper on stage surrounded by attendees before chaos ensued.
The performer was seen taking cover as he quickly moved away from the main stage.
Akron PD Deputy Chief Michael Miller told TMZ Hip Hop that one shot was fired while the rapper was on stage.
The gunman may have entered the lounge through a “blind spot” or a second door, as there was security and scanners at the front entrance. The suspect, described as male, fled the venue on foot, and the motive remains unknown.
This incident follows a similar tragedy seven months ago, when two people were killed during one of the rapper’s previous performances.
