Rotary Club of Omole-Golden Visits Love Home Orphanage
On Tuesday, August 27th, 2024, under the leadership of Club President Rotarian Jide Ogunleye, the Rotary Club of Omole-Golden paid a visit to the Love Home Orphanage, bringing essential items to support the children’s well-being. This gesture, which aligns with Rotary’s Area of Focus on Maternal and Child Health, reaffirms the club’s dedication to serving the community and improving the lives of vulnerable individuals.
During the needs assessment phase of the project, the orphanage highlighted a critical need for cooking gas due to rising costs. In response, the club partnered with Homefort Energy, whose Managing Director, Mr. Opeyemi Owosho, was present during the visit.
Starting today, Homefort Energy will be providing 50kg of gas to the orphanage every month for the next 6 months. The orphanage team was overjoyed and attested to how this support would significantly help them.
The visit was also made special as it coincided with the birthday of Rotarian Moses Durosaro, the Club’s treasurer. Moses, who was in attendance, had the unique opportunity to celebrate his birthday in the heartwarming company of the children at the orphanage, adding an extra layer of joy to the occasion.
During the visit, the Rotarians, led by President Jide Ogunleye, interacted with the children, distributing the donated items and sharing moments of joy and connection. The club’s commitment to making a positive impact was evident in the smiles and gratitude of the children and staff at the orphanage.
Through this outreach, the Rotary Club of Omole-Golden continues to demonstrate its passion for service and its resolve to create a better world for all.
