Omole, Lagos, September 2nd, 2024 – The Rotary Club of Omole Golden, under the dynamic leadership of President Rtn Jide Ogunleye, hosted a vibrant fellowship on August 30th, 2024, that brought together the bright minds and budding leaders from the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) 2024. This event not only celebrated the achievements of these exceptional young leaders but also highlighted the deep and lasting impact of RYLA on their personal and professional growth.

The fellowship, brimming with energy and inspiration, was a momentous occasion where the RYLA participants, fondly known as Rylarians, shared their transformative experiences. They spoke passionately about the life-changing lessons learned, the skills acquired, and the confidence gained during their time at RYLA. These young leaders credited the program for reshaping their perspectives and equipping them with the tools needed to take on future challenges with courage and resilience.

Guest speaker Rtn Best Okoduwa captivated the audience with a powerful narrative on the limitless potential of the human mind. “The body can achieve anything once the mind is set on it,” he declared, inspiring both the Rylarians and Rotarians to push beyond their perceived limits. His words were further echoed by Rotarians Akinola Akinropo and Mercy George-Igbafe, who shared their own memorable moments from the Sea School, reminding everyone of the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and self-belief.

The event also underscored the Rotary Club of Omole Golden’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and leadership development. By hosting this fellowship, the club reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing the talents and potential of young people, positioning them for success in their future endeavors. The sense of community and mentorship that permeated the fellowship was a testament to the club’s role in guiding the next generation of leaders.

In a thrilling conclusion to the RYLA 2024 experience, the Rotary Club of Omole Golden emerged as the overall best club in support of RYLA, a recognition that filled every club member with immense pride. The club’s sponsored candidate, Ms. Oyiza Saharh, was awarded the prestigious title of Most Outstanding RYLARIAN, a testament to her exemplary performance and leadership throughout the program. Additionally, four other club-sponsored Rylarians received the esteemed Sea School Badge of Honor, symbolizing their status as worthy ambassadors of the program.

President Jide Ogunleye expressed his excitement about the club’s achievements and extended a special invitation to the recognized Rylarians to share their experiences at the next club meeting on September 6th, 2024. “We are immensely proud of what our young leaders have accomplished,” said Ogunleye. “Their success is a reflection of the values we uphold as a club and our commitment to making a lasting impact in our community.”

As the Rotary Club of Omole Golden basks in the glory of these accolades, the members remain focused on their mission to empower and uplift the next generation.
