The relatives of a three-year-old boy, who suffered severe injuries after entering a crocodile habitat, have expressed their gratitude toward the zoo workers who saved him. The incident occurred on 18 June at Johnsons of Old Hurst in Cambridgeshire, where the child was assaulted by at least one of the animals.
In an official message released via Cambridgeshire Police, the family stated their appreciation for the staff who extracted their child from the enclosure. They noted that their current focus is entirely on the boy’s ongoing recovery and navigating this difficult process. Furthermore, they thanked the public and medical staff for the support provided during this period.
Authorities have arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder; he has since been released on bail. The investigation remains active as officials continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the event.
