Kaduna State authorities threaten prosecution for destruction of public infrastructure

Kaduna State officials have announced strict legal consequences for individuals responsible for damaging critical infrastructure following an inspection of a compromised bridge.

The government of Kaduna State has issued a formal caution to criminals involved in sabotaging public property, promising that those caught will be held accountable. Dr. Sule Shuaibu, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, delivered this message while visiting the bridge that links Rabah Road in Kaduna North to the Rigasa community in Igabi. The official tour aimed to evaluate the significant destruction recently inflicted on the site by vandals.

Commissioner Shuaibu emphasized that Governor Uba Sani’s administration maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward the destruction of state assets. He confirmed that officials are actively working to locate and bring the culprits to justice. Furthermore, he encouraged local citizens to stay alert and notify authorities if they witness any attempts to damage infrastructure, stressing that safeguarding public property is a shared duty vital to regional progress.
