Primate Elijah Ayodele, head of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a public warning regarding the security of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. During a Sunday address to his congregation, the cleric predicted that armed bandits would attempt to obstruct the major highway during the months of July or August.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the route, which serves as a vital link between Lagos and various South-West and northern states, the Primate urged Nigerian security agencies to remain vigilant and proactive. He emphasized that authorities must treat this warning as a serious consideration to prevent such an incident.
This latest advisory follows recent public remarks by Ayodele, in which he criticized the Federal Government for its handling of national security. He argued that the current administration is failing in its constitutional duty to protect the lives and safety of its citizens.
