President Tinubu Convenes Security Meeting at Aso Villa

President Bola Tinubu met with top security leaders in Abuja on Thursday to review current strategies for addressing national security threats like terrorism and banditry.

On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu hosted a private briefing with top national security officials at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The discussion centered on assessing current safety concerns throughout the nation.

According to reports from the News Agency of Nigeria, the session covered updates on active military zones and strategies aimed at curbing banditry, terrorism, kidnappings, and related criminal activities. The administration aims to bolster the country’s defense infrastructure and refine operational tactics through this gathering.

Key attendees included National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Defence retired Gen. Christopher Musa, and Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olufemi Oluyede. Also present were Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Defence Intelligence Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Undiandeye, and other high-ranking officials such as DSS Director-General Adeola Ajayi, NIA Director-General Mohammed Mohammed, Special Adviser on Homeland Security retired Maj. Gen. Adeyinka Famadewa, and Inspector-General of Police Olatunde Disu.
