The altercation escalated, and the herder attacked Uwua with a machete, leaving her to die in a pool of blood from severe injuries.

Comrade Samuel Ortserga, the Youth leader of Imon Community, expressed strong disapproval of the frequent killings of community members by suspected herders. He condemned the act, emphasizing that simply arresting the suspect was not enough to address the ongoing violence.
While he acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the Youth leader of Ibuan community and those of the Adudu Chiefdom for successfully arresting the suspect and handing him over to the police, Comrade Ortserga called on the state government and security agencies to implement stronger measures to prevent further killings in the community.
In his message, Comrade Aondo urged the youths of Imon to remain calm and allow the law to take its course, assuring them that their peaceful approach should not be mistaken for weakness. The community leaders are committed to seeing justice served and ensuring such violence is prevented in the future.
