Ogun Police Launch Manhunt for Woman Who Abandoned Baby Outside Clinic
The Ogun State Police Command has initiated a search for a woman who allegedly abandoned an infant outside Blessed Clinic in Oru Ijebu, within the Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Reports indicate the baby, believed to be around 40 days old, was left at the clinic’s entrance at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024.
The clinic’s owner promptly attended to the baby’s medical needs before notifying the Oru Police Division.
Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, stated that an investigation is underway to locate the person responsible for abandoning the child.
“The medical doctor in charge of the hospital alerted our division about the child. We have initiated an investigation into the matter, and the child is currently receiving treatment at the hospital,” she said.
