Notorious Bandit Kingpin Dan Mudale, A Police Officer, And Six Others Were Killed In Zamfara.
Operatives from the Zamfara State Police Command repelled a daring bandit attack in Keta town, Tsafe LGA, on Thursday, March 27. DSP Yazid Abubakar of the Police Public Relations Office confirmed in a statement from Gusau that the police neutralized a large group of bandits, including the notorious and wanted kingpin, Dan Mudale, who had been terrorizing Tsafe and its surroundings.
The spokesperson said: “At approximately 1540hrs, a good Samaritan reported that a large number of armed bandits had stormed Keta town with the intention of perpetrating inhumane acts.
“In response, a joint operation comprising the Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorism Unit, hunters, and Community Protection Guards mobilised and engaged the bandits in a fierce gun battle.”
The PPRO reported that one police officer, four members of the Community Protection Guard, and two hunters died during the attack, while two additional hunters are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau. The police reassured residents of their full commitment to restoring peace and urged citizens to report any suspicious activity for prompt action.
