Nigerian National Arrested in India with Drugs Worth Over ₦214 Million
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru has arrested a Nigerian man, identified as Chukwuma, for allegedly peddling drugs in the Avalahalli area of the city.
During the bust, officers from the CCB’s Narcotics Wing seized MDMA and crystal substances valued at over ₹1.2 crore. Authorities revealed that Chukwuma has been involved in the illegal drug trade since 2013 and is believed to be part of a larger international syndicate smuggling narcotics into India.
Chukwuma reportedly focused on distributing drugs across Bengaluru, especially its outskirts. He had been under police surveillance for several weeks before his arrest.
Investigations are ongoing, with officials working to trace others connected to the drug ring. Chukwuma is currently in custody, assisting in further inquiries.
