The survivors informed military personnel that they were originally abducted on March 11, 2026, while traveling on the Tsafe-Bilbis Road in Zamfara State. Residents of Bilbis village, they had been held for over three months until their captors abandoned them to escape the approaching soldiers. This operation represents part of a broader campaign by Operation FANSAN YAMMA to eliminate insurgent camps and stabilize the North-West region. The liberated individuals are currently being provided with medical aid and support while authorities coordinate their safe return to their families.
