Abductors seize 10-year-old in Yobe, request payment for release

Armed individuals kidnapped a 10-year-old boy in Yobe State and are now demanding a ransom for his safe return.

A 10-year-old child named Abdullahi Isa was kidnapped from his residence in Andarashi village, located within the Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State. Security expert Zagazola Makama noted that the abduction took place at approximately 5:20 pm on July 25.

Four individuals, carrying weapons such as bows, arrows, knives, and clubs, entered the home of Bukar Umar and took the boy. The perpetrators subsequently reached out to the victim’s family via phone to negotiate a ransom payment for his return.

In response to the crime, local law enforcement dispatched officers to the region. The head of the State Investigation Department has been tasked with using technical surveillance to trace the phone used by the captors. Police officials indicated that they are working to secure the boy’s safe return and capture the suspects.
