Media entrepreneur Mo Abudu is set to launch EbonyLife Place London, which will serve as the United Kingdom’s inaugural cinema hub specifically for African and Black motion pictures. Abudu confirmed the expansion on Monday, showcasing the physical location via social media.
Situated on Wandsworth Road, the venue is scheduled for a grand opening in October. It aims to function as a premier destination for African creative expression, extending its focus beyond film to include local music, fashion, cuisine, and fine arts.
The facility is designed to provide a comprehensive visitor experience through various amenities. Guests will have access to the Grand Reception, The Afrobeat Restaurant, Fèhintì Lounge, Maji Concession & Bar, Zuri Retail, and The Living Wall Gallery. This initiative represents a significant international growth milestone for the EbonyLife brand, establishing a dedicated space for Black storytelling and entertainment in London.
