The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old man, Ridwarullahi Suleiman, also known as Alfa Solive, for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl named Kehinde Lawal.

The command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, stated in a release that the Divisional Police Officer of Ajuwon received a report of the sexual assault on October 23.

She explained that the victim, who lives at 32 Madian Road, Matogun, Ogun State, arrived at the police station with her relatives to report that on October 21, 2024, at around 7:30 PM, her stepmother had sent her to buy items for the household.

Omolola stated that the victim reported that while running the errand, she encountered the suspect, who took her to his home and engaged in sexual acts with her.

She stated that the victim told the police the accused had instructed her not to disclose the incident to anyone. Omolola mentioned that since the assault, the victim has experienced severe bleeding and has reported excruciating abdominal pain.

The police spokesperson also indicated that the victim claimed her father’s driver, a man named Ibrahim, who currently lives in Ilorin, was the first person to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her in 2023.

Upon receiving this information, detectives visited the location of the incident, resulting in the arrest and detention of the suspect.

The police PRO stated that the victim has been taken to a hospital for medical examination and treatment. She added that the investigation is ongoing and the case will soon be transferred to the SCID in Abeokuta for further inquiry.
