Man and Two Accomplices Remanded in Court for Kidnapping Four-Year-Old Cousin in Kano
A Kano magistrates’ court in Kumbotso LGA has ordered the remand of three youths for kidnapping a 4-year-old boy.
The accused—Hizbullah Salisu, Aliyu Abubakar, and Hassan Aliyu—allegedly kidnapped Muhammad Nasir and initially demanded a ransom of N10 million, but after negotiation, received N300,000.
Salisu, a cousin of the victim, is said to have masterminded the abduction.
They were arrested by police on September 7, 2024, and charged with conspiracy, criminal offense, and kidnapping.
Pleading not guilty, Magistrate Rakiya Lami Sani remanded them until October 30 for re-arraignment.
