Makarfi District Head Praises Governor Sani for Renovating Local Hospital

The District Head of Makarfi, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi, credits Governor Uba Sani for restoring the local General Hospital after forty years of decay, significantly improving medical access for the community.

Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi, the District Head of Makarfi, stated that Governor Uba Sani has ended forty years of neglect by modernizing the General Hospital in Makarfi. According to the traditional leader, this project has revitalized healthcare services for residents who previously lacked access to proper medical care.

During a state-sponsored media tour, officials including Commissioner for Information and Culture Malam Ahmed Maiyaki and Health Commissioner Hajiya Umma K. Ahmad visited the site. The facility, which dates back to the 1970s, had remained largely unchanged for decades until the current administration intervened. Residents like Malama Sadiya Rabiu and Abdullahi Musa expressed relief, noting that the upgrades have eliminated the need to travel long distances for treatment and have bolstered community trust in government.

Governor Sani’s healthcare transformation initiative is currently renovating sixteen hospitals across Kaduna State. Commissioner Hajiya Umma K. Ahmad confirmed that these efforts are part of a broader commitment to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to citizens in underserved regions.
