The All Progressives Congress (APC) has finished submitting all of its governorship and State Assembly candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the party, confirmed the news on Friday.
Yilwatda expressed his gratitude to the party’s leadership, members, and candidates for reaching this target. He confirmed that all 56 governorship and deputy governorship slots, along with 1,015 State House of Assembly positions, were fully registered on the official system. He described this accomplishment as a sign of the party’s internal organizational capability and its preparation for the next stages of the election cycle.
Looking ahead, the party leadership plans to focus on interacting with citizens across the nation. A key part of this strategy will involve highlighting the progress made by President Bola Tinubu’s administration as they move toward the 2027 voting period.
