Macron Rocked by Shocking ‘Face Slap’ from Wife Brigitte in Viral Video

A video has surfaced showing French President Emmanuel Macron being shoved by his wife, Brigitte Macron, causing a stir worldwide.

Macron had just arrived in Vietnam to begin his Southeast Asia tour, but an incident aboard the plane quickly overshadowed his diplomatic agenda.

As the plane doors opened, Macron was seen speaking to Brigitte, who was standing near the cockpit. Unexpectedly, Brigitte’s hands reached out, seemingly striking him in the mouth.

Macron looked briefly startled but soon regained his composure and waved to the press gathered outside.

While descending the steps, he extended his arm to Brigitte, who declined and chose to hold the railing instead.

Initially, Macron’s team dismissed the footage as fake, but it was later confirmed as authentic.

Once the video’s authenticity was established, those close to the couple downplayed it as just “a bit of playful fun” between them.

They said: “It was a moment for the President and his wife to unwind one last time before the start of the trip by having a little fun.”

“It’s a moment of togetherness. No more was needed to feed the mills of the conspiracy theorists,” they added.

The incident sparked widespread condemnation online, with body language expert Judi James describing the interaction as “unthinkable” in comments to Metro.

Judi James said: “You do not push your partner in the face so hard with your hands, literally touching their face and nose so hard that their head wheels away from you.

“That wouldn’t be a fun gesture in anyone’s books. If she’d been standing where he was and his hand had come out and done that to her, the word fun wouldn’t remotely apply.

“I don’t see any giggling or any other signs of what would be called play fighting being exchanged. He had to literally get his balance back,” she added.

Following the exchange, Ms. James observed that there was “no physical contact” between the couple as they descended the stairs, and Brigitte kept her face concealed behind her hair.

“Could you imagine if Trump had stood in the door of that plane and Melania’s hand came out and pushed his face that hard? It would have been unthinkable.

“This needs to be taken seriously, but I would imagine that he’ll go to every length to cover it up, but it’s not a very good indication of what goes on behind the scenes,” she said.

Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have a 25-year age difference.

Their relationship began when Macron was just 15 years old and Brigitte was 40, married, and teaching drama at La Providence High School in Amiens, northern France.
