Kylian Mbappé, the Real Madrid and French superstar, has been accused of rape and sexual harassment at a hotel in Sweden.

This news comes shortly after he dismissed a report of an alleged rape at the same hotel where he was staying with friends as “fake news.”

According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Mbappé is now under police investigation following allegations made against him.

The footballer traveled to Sweden with friends last Wednesday, staying at the Bank Hotel in the city center, and left the country on Friday.

Reports indicate that the alleged incident occurred on Thursday night, after Mbappé had dined at Chez Jolie restaurant, visited the V nightclub, and returned to his hotel in a black van with his entourage.

Mbappé posted on X a newspaper article regarding the alleged rape at the hotel, stating: “Fake News! It’s becoming so predictable, just before the hearing as if by chance.”

Expressen reported that a police report was filed two days later.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet states that authorities are investigating a rape that allegedly occurred Thursday night at a central Stockholm hotel.

On Monday, investigators and a forensic team were present at the site of the alleged incident, according to Aftonbladet.

The alarm regarding the alleged rape was raised when the woman sought medical attention at a local hospital.

Mbappé departed from Sweden’s Bromma airport on a private jet on Friday.

The prosecutor handling the investigation declined to comment, telling local media, “I will not say anything about this.”

Stockholm police provided a similar response to MailOnline through spokesperson Carina Skagerlind, stating, “The police can neither confirm nor deny such a case.”

Aftonbladet also noted that no suspects have been identified in the investigation so far.
