Jeff Bezos Mourns Mother Jackie Bezos, Dead At 78

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is grieving the death of his mother, Jackie Bezos, who passed away at the age of 78 after a prolonged battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

According to the Daily Mail, Jackie died at her Miami home, surrounded by her husband, children, and grandchildren. She had been diagnosed with the degenerative disease in 2020, with her husband, Mike, standing by her side throughout her illness.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Bezos wrote, “I know she felt our love in those final moments. We were all so lucky to be in her life. I hold her safe in my heart forever.”

The Bezos Scholars Program, which Jackie co-founded, paid tribute to her as “a woman of grit, kindness, and deep love for family,” noting the joy she took in seeing her family grow.
