Ford Recalls More Than 105,000 SUVs
The recall affects approximately 105,322 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs from the 2018 to 2020 model years due to a potential issue with the seat belt pretensioners. These pretensioners, which are responsible for tightening the seat belt during a collision, may malfunction and unintentionally lock. This could result in the seat belt failing to retract or extend properly, posing a safety risk in the event of an accident.
Ford has been notified of the issue and will contact affected vehicle owners, offering repairs at no cost. If you own one of these vehicles, it’s important to stay informed about this recall and follow any guidance provided by the manufacturer to ensure your safety.
Ford will inspect and replace faulty seat belt parts in affected 2018-2020 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models at no cost. Owners will be contacted with repair instructions.
