Fire Outbreak At Trade Fair In Lagos

Goods worth billions of Naira have been destroyed after a fire broke out at Trade Fair in Lagos state on Sunday, 11th August, 2024.

 

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, the inferno spread throughout an entire warehouse consisting of six (6) assembly lines affecting equipment, small forklifts, household goods/gadgets, including TVs, refrigerators, air conditioners, estimated to be worth hundreds of billions of naira.

 

 

LASEMA Elife Fire Unit, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Federal Fire Service, NEMA, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force and Lagos State Ambulance Services, LASAMBUS teamed up and quickly curtailed the fire from spreading to other adjoining buildings and facilities.

 

The immediate cause of the fire has not been ascertained. Thankfully, there was no casualty from the incident.
