FCTA Initiates Advancement Process for 13,000 Staff Members

Over 13,000 civil servants under the FCTA and FCDA have begun a ten-day promotion process authorized by Minister Nyesom Wike.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority are officially launching a promotion drive for more than 13,000 employees starting this Wednesday. Engr. Emeka Ezeh, the FCT Civil Service Commission Chairman, confirmed that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike authorized the initiative.

The evaluation process spans ten days and involves personnel across 150 different cadres and grade levels. Aligned with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, this 2025 promotion cycle aims to support career development for eligible staff. Minister Wike also mandated that the 2026 promotion cycle be finalized before the year concludes to address previous administrative gaps and ensure a seamless experience for all applicants.

Engr. Ezeh guaranteed that preparations are complete to prevent the complications seen in earlier cycles. He encouraged participants to remain patient throughout the Computer Based Test examinations. The FCT Civil Service Commission previously gained recognition for being the first to implement a digital testing format for promotions shortly after its inception in early 2024.
