Dozens Of Men Arrested And Paraded By Police Over Alleged Gay Party In Indonesia
In a sweeping police operation that has drawn global attention, authorities in Surabaya, Indonesia, have arrested 34 men accused of participating in what officials described as a “gay s£x party” at a local hotel. According to reports by Lin Top 0.7 amanda bynes nude draculinMail Online and CNN Indonesia, the arrests took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 19, after residents alerted police to “unusual activity” on one of the hotel’s floors.
Images from the scene showed the men barefoot and restrained with zip ties, being paraded publicly through the streets to the Surabaya Police Headquarters a display that has since sparked outrage among human rights observers who say it violates the men’s dignity and right to privacy.

Police confirmed that contraceptives, mobile phones, and electronic devices were seized during the raid. The suspects have been detained pending interrogation, though official charges have yet to be disclosed.
The Head of Surabaya’s Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Edy Herwiyanto, told reporters that the group included both participants and organizers, some of whom allegedly acted as financiers, administrators, and assistants in coordinating the gathering.

Hotel representatives, meanwhile, maintained that management was unaware of the event, explaining that rooms are rented out as private spaces under guests’ discretion.
“The impact is quite disappointing because there’s been some unpleasant feedback about our hotel,” a spokesperson told CNN Indonesia, adding that the establishment remains committed to guest privacy and safety.

Indonesia, the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation, does not explicitly criminalize same-sex relationships at the national level, but local morality laws and police crackdowns have increasingly targeted LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly in conservative regions like Surabaya.
The case has reignited debates around privacy, human rights, and Indonesia’s treatment of LGBTQ+ citizens, with activists condemning the public humiliation of suspects as an “institutionalized act of cruelty.”
