Detroit Artist Skilla Baby Healing Following Targeted Drive-By Attack On 8 Mile

American rapper Skilla Baby, 25, is recovering after surviving a targeted drive-by shooting on Thursday night near 8 Mile and Beech Daly in Detroit. According to reports, his black SUV was fired upon multiple times before crashing into a nearby building.

Skilla Baby sustained a gunshot wound to the hand and was grazed twice. Once in the head and once in the back. Despite his injuries, he remained alert when emergency responders arrived and was quickly taken to a local hospital. Authorities say he is expected to make a full recovery.

Redford Township police are leading the investigation into the shooting. The incident highlights ongoing concerns over rising gun violence in Detroit, where multiple high profile shootings have occurred recently.
