Comedian Deeone Attacks Chioma’s Family For Allowing Her Traditional Wedding To Davido Hold In Lagos And Not In Imo

Comedian Deeone has tackled Chioma’s family for allowing her traditional wedding to Davido hold in Lagos and not in Imo state, where they are from.

In a video shared online this morning, Deeone said it appears to him that the Igbo tradition is divided into two, the one for the rich and the one for the poor. According to him, the Igbo marriage rites demand that a bride does her traditional wedding in her village but because Davido is rich, Chioma’s family ‘’bypassed” the tradition and had the wedding in Lagos.

He said if the bride was of lower class, her family would have insisted that the wedding must be held in the village

He mentioned that holding the wedding in the hometown of the bride would have also been of economic value to the region by way of travellers coming into lodges in Hotels, buying food and others.
