Club World Cup: Real Madrid To Miss Mbappe In Al-Hilal Clash
Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé may miss their Club World Cup opener against Al-Hilal on Wednesday due to illness, having been absent from training ahead of the match.
New manager Xabi Alonso, set to make his debut on the touchline, could be without several key players, including defender Antonio Rüdiger and midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who are also likely to be unavailable for the clash against the Saudi side.
“Kylian was feeling a little better this morning, but not enough.
“But we will wait until the last moment. Tomorrow morning we will decide.
“Rudiger made a brutal effort this season and I don’t know if he will be called up tomorrow, but he is progressing well and will be the first to return.
“Camavinga is also improving quickly, but he needs time,” Alonso said.
