A recent raid on Kwaren Gamba, a community within the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State, resulted in two fatalities and three injuries. Assailants believed to be followers of bandit leader Bello Turji orchestrated the assault. The event was confirmed via a social media update on Sunday by security expert Bakatsine.
The militants arrived on Saturday evening, claiming two lives and harming three individuals while taking several villagers captive. Bakatsine emphasized that this tragedy illustrates the deteriorating safety conditions throughout Sokoto East, specifically regarding the recurring threats faced by those living in the Sabon Birni and Isa regions.
Bakatsine expressed concern regarding the lack of a definitive resolution to the persistent violence perpetrated by the Turji-led faction, questioning when authorities will implement effective measures to stop the ongoing regional instability.
