Akpabio Denies Sexual Harassment Allegation by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has refuted allegations of sexual harassment made against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
During the Senate Plenary session on the morning of March 5, Akpabio rejected the claim.
He stated:
“At no time did I ever harass any woman. I was raised very well by my late single mother, and I have always upheld respect for women. I was even awarded the most gender-friendly governor in Nigeria.”
The former governor of Akwa Ibom State stated that he had been receiving numerous calls regarding the issue since February 25 and acknowledged the ongoing discussions on social media.
He called on Nigerians, the media, and social media users to avoid making premature judgments and to wait for the court’s ruling on the matter.
