Air Force Operation Eliminates Nine Insurgents in Borno

Operation HADIN KAI air units conducted a successful strike in Dumba, Borno State, killing nine terrorists and destroying their supply carts after tracking them from the air.

The Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) successfully executed a precision airstrike in Dumba, Borno State, resulting in the death of nine suspected terrorists. The mission also led to the destruction of three carts identified as transport for weaponry and supplies.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama reported via social media that the strike took place on Saturday, August 8. The operation was launched following intelligence reports regarding insurgent movements in the region. Conducted as part of an armed reconnaissance mission, the military aircraft arrived over Dumba at 2:58 p.m. to monitor the area.

Upon identifying the targets, the air crew observed three individuals walking along a road, while a separate group of six was seen transporting carts through the bush. The pilot chose to maintain surveillance rather than striking immediately. This approach allowed both groups to congregate at a single location, where the aircraft ultimately engaged and neutralized the insurgents.
