Egypt continues to lead the continent, securing the top spot with a score of 0.3651. Algeria maintains its status as the second-most powerful military force in Africa, despite a minor dip in its rating to 0.4849. Nigeria follows closely in third place with a score of 0.6097.
South Africa occupies the fourth position with a 0.6843 rating. Ethiopia has advanced to fifth place, achieving a score of 0.8525, while Morocco follows in sixth with 1.0368. Angola has moved down to seventh position, reporting a score of 1.1045.
Rounding out the top 10 are the Democratic Republic of the Congo in eighth at 1.3051, Sudan in ninth with 1.3563, and Tunisia in tenth with 1.7823. The Global Firepower Index calculates these rankings by analyzing over 60 variables, such as logistics, available personnel, financial backing, equipment, and geographical factors. In this system, a lower numerical score signifies a superior military posture.
