Traditional leaders in Igbere, located within the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, have formally announced their support for the 2027 re-election campaign of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Okezie Kalu.
During a session held as part of Kalu’s “Meet Your Constituents” tour on Wednesday, His Royal Majesty Eze Joseph Ukaoha Anyanta spoke for the assembly of chiefs. He praised Kalu’s performance in office, noting that his legislative contributions and infrastructure initiatives are unparalleled by any representative since the start of Nigeria’s democracy in 1999.
The traditional council offered their formal blessings and committed to backing his continued tenure. Eze Anyanta emphasized that Kalu’s work stands out significantly, promising that the community would do everything within its power to ensure his political goals for the Bende region are realized successfully.
