Former IPAC National Chairman Peter Ameh has formally requested that the National Assembly and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission initiate a transparent probe into the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, or PFIPC. This entity was recently exposed as a fraudulent organization purportedly draining federal funds.
Reports surfaced identifying the agency, led by Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, as a nonexistent body that nonetheless secured a line item in the 2026 budget and maintained physical space within the Abuja federal secretariat. The federal government has since confirmed the agency is not legitimate. Amid these findings, allegations have surfaced linking Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President, to the scheme.
Ameh noted that the fraudulent agency moved through several layers of government approval, including the Budget Office, the Federal Executive Council, and the National Assembly. He argued that the institutionalized nature of this insertion suggests a coordinated conspiracy at the highest levels of governance.
Stating that the public deserves total transparency, Ameh called for the immediate resignation of Gbajabiamila and other implicated officials. He stressed that a comprehensive, unbiased investigation is necessary to hold all high-level actors involved in this financial scandal accountable.
