President Pezeshkian admits Iran faces significant difficulties amid ongoing conflict

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for transparency among officials, acknowledging that the nation faces significant struggles following attacks on critical industrial and energy infrastructure.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged state officials to provide an accurate assessment regarding the country’s situation during the current conflict with the United States.

Speaking to the Mehr news agency, he emphasized that the nation needs to transition into a formal war posture.

The President highlighted that critical infrastructure, including steel plants, petrochemical facilities, and power stations, has sustained damage.

He explicitly warned against propaganda efforts that minimize these setbacks or project an image of total prosperity.

Pezeshkian stressed the importance of transparency, noting that the public deserves to know about the serious challenges the government is encountering.

He argued that pretending the adversary is already defeated while ignoring domestic issues serves no productive purpose for the Islamic Republic.
