Yobe Student Nafisa Aminu Crowned World’s Best In English At 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals
Nafisa Abdullah Aminu, a 17-year-old student from Yobe State, has earned global acclaim after being named the World Best in English Language Skills at the prestigious 2025 TeenEagle Global Finals in London, United Kingdom.
Representing Nigeria through the Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Nafisa triumphed over a staggering 20,000 participants from 69 countries, cementing a historic win that shines a bright spotlight on both her home state and the nation.
The TeenEagle competition, a renowned international platform, rigorously evaluates students’ English proficiency, critical thinking, and communication skills, drawing contestants from both English-speaking and non-English-speaking nations.
Her family, in a statement led by Hassan Salifu, attributed Nafisa’s groundbreaking success to her unwavering dedication, disciplined study culture, and the instrumental support of the Yobe State government.
“Our daughter’s global success would not have been possible without the visionary support for education by His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, whose efforts have brought international honour to our state and nation,” Salifu stated.
Nafisa’s remarkable feat is particularly noteworthy as she outperformed peers from native English-speaking countries, a testament to her exceptional intellect and rigorous preparation.
Her victory has sparked celebrations across Yobe State and beyond, with heartfelt commendations flowing towards Governor Buni and the NTIC faculty for their role in fostering her academic brilliance.
