A Ukrainian drone assault on a logistics hub in western Russia resulted in seven deaths and 24 injuries this Saturday, as reported by regional officials. The operation hit a Wildberries warehouse situated in Kotovsk, within the Tambov region.
Tambov Regional Governor Evgeny Pervyshov stated that the casualties were staff members on the night shift when the unmanned aerial vehicles impacted the site. Wildberries, a major Russian e-commerce firm, verified that both its Kotovsk location and a facility in Elektrostal, Moscow region, were targeted overnight. While the fire at the Tambov warehouse was successfully contained, emergency crews remained active at the Elektrostal site.
Simultaneously, Moscow faced a broad drone offensive. Mayor Sergei Sobyanin indicated that over 370 drones were deployed toward the capital area. He confirmed that air defense systems successfully intercepted most of the devices, including 64 drones neutralized as they neared Moscow.
