The Tuggar Campaign Organisation has officially refuted reports suggesting that followers of Foreign Affairs Minister, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, have abandoned him for a rival governorship candidate. The group characterized these allegations as entirely inaccurate and deceptive.
Released on Saturday, the organisation’s statement noted that these claims, voiced by associates of a competing candidate at a press event, were a deliberate attempt to manufacture the appearance of eroding support for Tuggar within the All Progressives Congress. The campaign clarified that no official representative or faction was permitted to bargain or pledge allegiance to any other political contender in the Minister’s name.
Stressing that their base remains solid and dedicated to the Minister’s vision, the team warned other political figures against circulating rumors. They advocated for an election season marked by factual discourse, integrity, and adherence to democratic standards, rather than the distribution of misleading information to the party or the general public.
