Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has completed a surprise move to Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners activated his modest £5 million release clause to sign him as a backup to first-choice keeper David Raya.
Kepa becomes the second Spaniard to join Arsenal this summer, following the arrival of midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
He spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and was widely expected to leave Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, on X: “Kepa to Arsenal, here we go!
“Deal done for the Spanish goalkeeper to join #AFC as new backup for David Raya.
“Arsenal activate £5m clause from Chelsea and all documents are now sealed.
“One more addition for Arteta after Martin Zubimendi.”
