Tinubu claims he is fixing pension failures left by Atiku

President Bola Tinubu asserts he is resolving pension issues caused by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s privatization policies.

President Bola Tinubu has stated that he is currently rectifying financial burdens inherited from the tenure of Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria. Tinubu specifically accused his political opponent of mismanaging the privatization of government assets, which resulted in significant pension arrears for workers.

These remarks were shared during a gathering with the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Association and key stakeholders from the Northeast region. During the session, which addressed the renomination of Kashim Shettima as his running mate, Tinubu reflected on his professional history in finance and accounting, noting his experience with Deloitte & Touche and his time in Chicago.

The President also highlighted the security difficulties facing the Northeast, specifically citing terrorism and banditry. He emphasized the necessity of national unity to tackle these threats. Regarding his economic agenda, Tinubu asserted that his administration is prioritizing the stabilization of the economy and social welfare, tasks he claims are necessary because he is actively cleaning up the administrative failures left behind by previous leadership.
