Emeka Joseph has been sent to the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State following his involvement in a widely circulated video where he is seen attacking Ezeka Chisom. The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the arrest on Thursday, noting that officers acted quickly after receiving a tip.
Initial reports indicate that the suspect and the victim lived together at the time of the incident. Authorities stated that the victim suffered facial injuries during the attack. Joseph has been formally charged and will remain in custody until his next court date on August 3, 2026.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, emphasized that the department maintains a strict stance against domestic abuse. He promised that all reports of violence will be investigated immediately and encouraged citizens to notify their local police stations whenever they witness criminal behavior.
