Organizers have called off the Skerries 100 motorcycle road race after a rider died during Sunday’s competition. The fatal incident took place during the second event of the day, known as the Junior Support race.
In an official statement, the Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club expressed deep regret over the loss of the competitor. They confirmed that the family of the rider is being notified and that additional information will be shared once available.
This event in County Dublin had only recently returned to the racing calendar after a four-year hiatus caused by high insurance costs in the Republic of Ireland. This tragedy marks the third death at an Irish road race in 2026, following the earlier passings of James Walsh at the Tandragee 100, Kamil Holan at the North West 200, and Dan Ingham at the Isle of Man TT.
